GUWonder, I'm much like you (except doing it on NW) in that I have flown a lot in the first few months of the year to ensure renewal of plat status by the end of the year. A few years ago, the NW program came up with elite perks plus, which was a tierd reward plan for flying beyond the 75,000. The big benefit of that was SWUG certs, which were great as a means for a free ug on intl trips.
I'm trying to plan out how much early travel to do, and I've been searching to see if DL rewards FFers for flying more than 75,000. So far I've found nothing, so I'm thinking I should pace this to get to 75,000 near the end of the year.
Does DL reward their FFers for flying beyond the top qualification level? Any thought that they might adopt a plan such as NW has?
Thanks. I guess we will all be under the same program sometime in 2009.
