I believe what happened to Untied was a pilot slowdown -- so at least at first glance, that's the pilot's fault (tho of course they'll say 'management made them do it due to inferior pay, blah blah blah').

Here the problems are due to management directly; not enough pilots who can work the planes because they've reached their max hours allowed as per FAA guidelines.

So in the end it's all management I guess one way or the other
