I booked IST for myself so obviously that's the one I would pick (since I did pick it!) but will be there a week on the ground and now that I've looked into more, I wish I had booked a longer trip. I wonder why there are so many award seats there but I am not going to question, just accept.
My second choice on the list might be Berlin.
To pogopossum -- When I booked, there was wide availability MSY-IST for 50,000 miles but I no longer remember if I did the search before I logged in to show my Gold status. I usually have trouble finding award flight availability for MSY but not for that one.
