I have to commend the UPS guy for being a smooth talker.

In response to your thread title: I don't want UA to go out of business. Overall, they have treated me well this year.

While it would be nice if they would move elites up to the premium cabins if space was available, that is not a benefit of our status. IMO, we really have no right to complain in situations like the one you describe above.
