If you are offered a choice, go for the $$ vouchers. You are not charged taxes on these so it is like getting a discount. Plus, since you can apply these to any published fares available for purchase (sorry no Internet capabilities yet), it is like money in your hand.

If done right, you can get 2 round trips to Phoenix from the East coast with a $400 voucher. Plus you can use your upgrades.
