Thumbs up Airlines that address you by your name on-board

Over the years, most major airlines have tried (with varying degrees of success) to have their cabin crew refer to passengers by name, at least in business and first class.

Airlines that I have found do this most consistently include Singapore Airlines and Cathay Pacific, and perhaps Malaysia Airlines. On these airlines, I am usually amazed to find the crew address you by name for every interaction! And am amazed that pretty much all crew members serving the cabin know you by name (this is more true on SQ than CX).

Some others, such as British Airways and some US carriers, seem to address you by name once -- when taking your meal / drinks order -- and then usually do not address you by name again (too much effort to remember?)

Some are inconsistent -- Qatar Airways, for instance. Depends on the crew member.

Many other airlines do not bother with the name-thing at all.

However on my recent trip to India, I was amazed to find the crew on Jet Airways and Indigo Airlines (an LCC) address all passengers by name when taking meal orders, *even in economy class*! And the crew even remembered many of the names during subsequent interactions!

Now I have sometimes been addressed by name in economy on Singapore Airlines, but I put that down to being PPS on SQ. But I hold no status on Jet, and Indigo is a single-class LCC, for goodness sake! These guys are simply amazing! Just had to post a note about this.

Cheers,
Sankaps.
