Do you really believe the manager should bend the rule just because every airline agent you dealt with before did and show remorse when refusing to do so?
For this matter, QAS is not RJ but their rep in TLV. When RJ sets the rules, QAS has very little space to navigate and the staff take responsibility to rules that are not kept.
By the way, did you take any other RJ flights?
Flew on two other tickets the week before, working with actual RJ staff at AMM. Was never asked for a credit card. Clearly if it's a policy they give a damn about you'd think they would enforce it at their hub.
