The way I see our itinerary right now, we would have 3 nights at Amandari, 6 nights at Amanwana and 1 day on the way back to the airport at Amanusa. This could change though based on transfer details, etc. But I like the idea of staying in Ubud to offset the beach experience at Amanwana. And the recent upgrades to Amandari are a plus.

Regarding the GMs, normally I don't have advance contact with them. The people who man the property emails are always very capable, kind, etc. In this case, Kevin at Amanwana reached out to me first (referred from another property) so I've maintained contact with him. And it just so happens that one of these properties will be our 10th Aman so we plan to point that out and if they want to upgrade us...well....that's OK.

FYI, our budget on this trip has been slashed in half, if not a third. No komodo expedition this time! And if we get further in a pinch, we will probably replace Amandari with a nice little villa for about half the price.
