Nirvana is the newer, more upmarket part of the hotel. It has its own pools, restaurants, and wifi. It does have its disadvantages too: it is a LONG way from the hotel entrance and main lobby and has both mountain and sea view rooms that tend to be smaller than in the main building, where all rooms are sea view. The main pools are bigger and more scenic, even if less exclusive.

As a Platinum SPG member, I was offered a fantastic suite in the main building, near the Nirvana extension, with access to all Nirvana perks, including breakfast. In my view, I had the best of both worlds. The hotel policy may have changed in the meantime, of course.

Technically it's an upgrade, but you might not feel that way after your stay.
