How is the "normal person" meant to know if they can use the J or Y toilets ?
Y+ is even harder to work out, not quite J not quite Y.
In Y+ the FA or CSM/purser will come around and tell you. Sometimes this is during boarding when you get your drink, usually just after takeoff. If they catch you using the J toilets they will politely let you know your toilets are behind you - have seen this happen numerous times.
A few weeks back I was on a Pacific 744 (hi J) that had Y+ installed, and it has toilets in the middle of Y+ (the toilets that are normally the fore Y ones). Which is great for Y+ but bad for Y as they all have to trek aft.
