New Year at an Aman is normally pretty special - fireworks, great hospitality etc etc, but then, it depends upon where you are. I have only ever done New Year at Amanpulo and Amanpuri, but I cannot imagine they would not push the boat out elsewhere.
At Amanwana they put on a low-key tropical party and dinner with fireworks and all. Pretty fun time overall, but very casual and relaxed. There are only 11 tents, so it isn't like there is a huge crowd.
