IME, that is exactly what happens. If you ignore the schedule change and don't call to confirm, eventually, you will receive an automated voice message telling you about the reservation change. This usually goes to my voice mail. After the call, the reservation shows up as "confirmed" in My Itin. and I have done nothing. YMMV.
