An airport car is 650 Baht to Patong, IIRC. My driver charges me 600, so 700 seems within the right range. A metered taxi is cheaper, but you risk the chance of waiting for one at high volume times. A mini-bus is 150 per person, but they wait until the bus is full and then drop people off, one at at time so it's more time consuming.
