Customers out of SeaTac, quite naturally, tend to extend regional environmental sensitivities to their travel activity. A few years ago, flying cross country from SEA on Alaska, I recall an inflight announcement concerning potential allergy problems faced by a passenger. It involved peanuts. We were all asked to put away, or dispose of, anything we had, made from peanuts. In over 50 years of air travel, I hadn't heard that one. I suspect Frequent Flyers from the Northeast to Florida, hearing about this current incident, would gladly trade deicing smells for those created by some fellow passengers doing their nails in flight.
