My flights are usually posted within 10 days. The odd time it has been delayed were due to a slight name variation on my BP. This was resolved by a fax to UA MP with my BP and e-ticket receipt -- miles appeared within 2 days. If the OP has waited this long, I recommend a fax should remedy the situation promptly.

As for AC being the worst of the Star Alliance bunch, I think it has a long ways to fall before being considered the worst (I am thinking Egyptair, Air India, or even USAirways may be a poorer option!)
