Haha, I was going to ask the same thing. Recently I made a reservation at the infamous Intercontinental Miami West on a advanced purchase rate. Ya ya ya, i know, i'm an idiot and got a little overzealous while putting a last minute cruise together so in the excitement I booked the flight, cruise and hotel quite hastily.

And to make it even worse the good IC Miami (downtown--Biscayne Bay) has a super amazing deal on Travel zoo, where their rooms that usually go for 500+ were 179.99 for a club room--i'm still kicking myself. I really like staying at the IC Miami downtown.

BACK TO THE SUBJECT AT HAND--So, anyways, I contact the IC Miami West, via email, and ask about what upgrade is being offered and a couple of concierge type questions. No response, just the locking out of my reservation. Ugh!!!

Cant wait to add my review to the 'ic miami west hotel is the worst IC in the country' .... or something like that. Hopefully I will be totally blown away, but time will tell. The tripadvisor reports are pretty darn good.
