Nope. They have the member's name, address, and Dividend Miles number on the front on all the systemwides I've seen (ones issued to me, to other Preferreds, etc.). I'm willing to guess that what you saw, someone had just blanked out the names and other identifying information should any folks from DM be lurking. (like the image of the UA 1k SWU I saw somewhere)

Looked like there might be confusion - the SWUs can be used for you and a companion travelling with you. They are non-transferable, and yes, can be used by a non-member so long as they're travelling with you. But (for example) dg1 can't use one of mine if I'm not on his flight. Yeah, I could give dg1 one of mine, but without me, they have as much use as a Delta upgrade certificate on an L class fare.

It's nice to think that UA will let us use our systemwides on their routes if our SWUs were still valid post-merger (and I'm sure there are some out there who have SWUs that would be valid after the planned completion of the merger - before full integration). But the answer is simple - why would they? And I'd bet that they'd handle 'em in much the same way Air Canada has handled the Canadian upgrades.
