I think he's asking if they can be used by a different person other than the one named on the certificate. And, unfortunately, I'd be willing to be the answer is NO. The one exception may be for a spouse. I've traveled with her and have also traveled solo and have been able to use a couple of her upgrades. I don't think she has attempted to use any of mine.
