I only did the briefs thing once. On a FRA-IAD back in February when I had the last center row of C seats all to myself. Just dropped trou, pulled off my socks and pulled up the sheets. It felt like true decadence.

Can't imagine stripping down naked though. But certainly non-Americans seem more comfortable with stages of undress than Americans.
