I just got the program announcement email from B6 and noticed one thing in it that actually makes a lot of sense:
Pet carrier bag tag - a bag tag will be attached to your pet carrier at check in to let everyone know your pet is ready to jet.
They are putting in place a program that will allow a GA to know that the pet fee has been paid and to easily deal with it if the fee hasn't been paid. Makes a lot of sense, especially considering how expensive the fee is.
Got a funny story for you. I asked a woman boarding with her pet carrier, if she had received her Pet bag tag and she freaked out thinking I was trying to gate check her pet!!!
I took that to mean she either didn't receive the tag or took it off, for fear that Fido would end up in the cargo hold.
