It's easy to complain about bad service. Today's post brings compliments about outstanding service.

I think I've had my best DL in-flight service yet. No, I take that back, I think I've had my best in-flight service on ANY airline. Friday 12/19 from ATL-PRG in the BE cabin. The service was fun, outstanding, efficient, and personal. From the moment we boarded to the time we got off the plane. This was far beyond the typical efficient service - the crew "connected" personally with everyone on board. No act: they enjoyed the trip.

I can't remember the last time I left a plane with a huge smile and a "can't wait for the next flight" attitude.

We had a short MX delay at ATL to fix a seat. The captain came around and personally introduced himself to each passenger, showed us the north-Atlantic chart with the waypoints and route marked, and talked with each of us. I can't ever remember that happening before.

Yes, I've sent a snail-mail letter to the executive offices. I won't send it through the web to Customer Service 'cause I don't believe that it will get to the folks that care.
