So even more reason as to why they should offer them as 'family suites' or some such in the first instance!

Newer properties like the CP Blackfriars which I have become familiar with over the last few months only have adjoining rooms off the accessible rooms, so I suspect you're right in that they're less common than they used to be. Surprised to know that new build HiEX places do though!
