Wouldn't this be the case for any airline's elite program? If I started out the year as a United 1K I would receive "less" during the course of the year than if I worked my way from Premier to Premier Executive and then on to 1K. That's three packets of goodies during the same year compared to one. And, logically, everyone who has risen through the ranks to the top elite level has, during that given year, recieved "more" goodies than the elites who started out that year at the top level. This is a sitiuation that I would imagine exists in just about all the airline elite programs. And every airline states that they can change the rules of the program at any time, etc. I think this is just one of those inequalities that we'll have to live with.

5/23/00: "I will probably not even bring this up to US Airways as it isn't that important to me. When I want to upgrade I will just use the miles and do it that way."
