First, sorry this happened. I wish I was less familiar with the situation, but I'm the honeymooner. Not really true that TG always holds all the cards. In my case, TG had options that were even better than my original but UA was filtering *net so TG said they had awards seats available but UA wouldn't lift the filter or do a manual sell. I'd say that UA often holds not only a few cards but sometimes pocket aces.
