I was simply noting that FM is the older well-known one (and probably the one the OP was thinking about) and OF is the new one snapping at its heels. I was simply providing all the options, hope you don't object to that
The use of the word "pretender" in the description. New entrant, new option, or new service all would make sense if you're trying to describe them as such. By describing it as the "new pretender" the implication is that they aren't really a service to be considered as they aren't really all there.
