Another household item which is good for getting rid of lightly stained marks on tiles etc (not coffee makers) is some Bicarbonate of Soda on a damp cloth rubbed with some added elbow grease in a circular motion.
We have some lovely floor tiles which were spoilt by rain getting in when we were away for several months. Alas all the rubbing in the world will not get rid of the marks on them.
