Nobody took pictures from the museum tour

The museum in all honesty was not very photogenic. Lots of small rooms packed with lots and lots of stuff (binders, bins, books, etc.) The official name of the place is 'Airport Archives', which is probably a more accurate description. None of this takes away from the experience, however. The curator is simply unforgetable. The enthusiasm, experiences, and knowledge of the industry he has is amazing, and he goes out of his way to make you feel welcome. Mention any airline, airplane, or air service, and he will be ready with a story and some bit of memoribilia. He is just bursting with energy, which is remarkable considering his age. Next time we go, he has offered to take us to another part of the FRA where more of his stuff is on display (unfortunately not accessable for us at such short notice).
If you really want pictures, check out the November edition of the Lufthansa Magazin. There is a big story in there about the place, including some nicely angled photos.
Unfortunately, the idea for the visit came very late in the planning process for the DO. Next time we'll be better prepared.

Any if anyone has pilot wings from any obscure airline, the curator would love them!
