I've flown EWR-NRT with CO on BF twice (a few years ago though, 2005 and 2006) and loved the Japanese menu, as a lunch, as a mid-flight snack and as a breakfast! It was filling and the flight attendants insisted on feeding me with all starters and desserts on top of this... It goes perfectly with the sake of course, but champagne works well too.
