ANA IC Tokyo no longer upgrades award stays. When I booked a combination of paid and point stay about half a year ago, as an RA I was upgraded for the first night (paid stay), but told to move to a most basic room (booked on points) or pay the difference if I want to keep the room. ANA IC Tokyo has become very stingy about giving upgrades, at least in my experience. YMMV
(Oh, well, I do realize IC hotels are under no obligation to upgrade award stays . So I am not complaining, just stating my experience and observation.)

If the OP is paying for the stay, and if he is an Ambassador, he will probably get a one-category upgrade there.
