Hey if WestJet can pay for installing and providing DirectTV free of charge, without getting advertising revenue from the commercials viewed by passengers, surely AC can figure out a way to pay for their system without subjecting viewers to endless ad loops. My conspiratorial speculation suggests AC has already included the full cost of AVOD in their base fares while collecting ad revenue as gravy.
What will be retort once the airline starts charging for its so-called premium content? Will all ads disappear? I doubt it too.
