The bus usually costs more in the SIN-KUL direction, than the reverse.

From KUL we took the bus from the old train station, close to the Hilton this summer. About 6 hours. It left you off at some hotel on the outskirts of SIN, though, so make sure you know where you're going. Cost was about $12, I think.
