The carry-on luggage size limits are very welcome at least at times when the people have overcoats - and that means in Finland almost always. IMO space hogs should be deplaned as soon as spotted.
8 kg is quite little for a cabin size trolley. Sometimes I manage to pack nearly 20 kg in one of those. Thus I favour the BA-style size and weight limits.
I flew to BCN and back this week. The business class cabin was entire two rows in length. And the overhead bins above those rows were filled, as usual, with standard junk, such as first aid kits, defibrillator, pillows, etc. Both times some of the passengers complained about the situation.
And in coach or oneclass (as all the domestic flights are), there isn´t hardly anything more annoying than having to put up with people, who think it is them who deserve extra quantities of cabin luggage space. On the expense of others! Some of them may even stuck (or intend to stuck) their baggages under the seats in front of other passengers to keep their feet comfortable. I am surprised, how lenient the gate folks and flight attendants of AY are on this issue.
