As others have pointed out, the website display is misleading. What it should really be is three columns:

Actual Flight Miles (status)
Additional Minimum Miles (also status)
Bonus Miles

Trust me, I have 88,000 Preferred miles from last year and I did not fly that much; a lot of 100 mile flights, etc.
