The HGI has a shuttle and is very close 2 the airport and a short ride to the Mill Ave area.

ByrdluvsAWACO - The HGI is the best of the Hilton options nearby (though the Doubletree at 44th and the Embassy Suites at 44th are okay).
The Sheraton Phoenix Airport is also a pretty nice place. Sorry to hear about your travel troubles - hope it all works out with minimal inconvenience.
