On a slightly related subject: is it me, or do the engines of the NG-series aircraft always sound like they're grinding the cowling when they spool up? I never recall that noise on the 734s or on other Boeing or Airbus aircraft. (I do seem to recall the 777-200ER making that noise, though I was up front and it wasn't nearly as loud.)

Obviously, it's not slaughtering the engines or AS would have been grounding the grinding engines, but it still gets me every time...
