One thing that UA does RIGHT is that when you do a fare search on dot bomb, the total you get is the REAL total, all in.

My experience with the travel search engines is that they give you a great price to get you to click on the site. Then when you do a final price, they throw in all the fees and taxes. Now, not such a deal anymore...
