Just wondering why I consistently get cheaper United fares quoted on one of those multiple airline search sites as opposed to using the exact same dates and itinerary search on the United site itself. I assume this is not unique to United? I would much rather purchase my tickets directly from United but when I can get them $200 cheaper on a search site I'm going to have to go with them. One thing that UA does RIGHT is that when you do a fare search on dot bomb, the total you get is the REAL total, all in.
My experience with the travel search engines is that they give you a great price to get you to click on the site. Then when you do a final price, they throw in all the fees and taxes. Now, not such a deal anymore...
