Just under ten years ago (thanks for the reminder), it actually happened to my wife and I - the legendary "on board upgrade" My wife and I were flying back from the East Coast to California, before packing our stuff and leaving for Borneo that evening. My wife was carrying her bouquet and we looked like two people who'd been through a washing machine and lo and behold a FA came up to us in our seats (still on theground) and said "would you like to come with me" and brought us up to Continental's Business First (which was quite swank in those days). The rest of the trip - on flight after flight - my wife batted her eyes with the honeymoon story but it never worked again. I suppose the bouquet was key.
