Right now the TSA runs unfettered and knowingly and willingly breaks the law to the tune of 2 million times a day. Any probe that shows a chink in the armor of the TSA is a good thing. Any bit of proper public disobedience adds to the foundation of discontent. Movements start with a step. The civil rights movement did not start with mass marches, it did not start with riots. It started with a few brave souls making a small step.

I do not lightly compare anything to the civil rights movement, I know anymore it is a common as comparing a group to the Nazis so it loses some of its punch.

In this case I think the comparison fits. Under the Jim Crow laws Blacks were not happy but they complied because the punishment was more severe than the crime. Passengers at the airport comply because the punishment is more severe than the crime. Back talk a TSO and you don't fly. Refuse to comply with an illegal ID verification and you can be fined.

This is not about people that are pissed off because the airlines didn't serve peanuts, this is about the systematic violation of basic Constitutional and civil rights by a Government entity.

Yeah the OP bailed before getting into trouble but not everyone has the heart of a lion.

(NOTE: I am NOT saying anything that shows a flaw in SECURITY is a good thing)
