Regarding asking a FB Plat to "escort" you into the lounge, they may allow one person but probably not your wife and 2 kids. We have trouble getting my spouse and two kids into the CDG club and the Plat member is part of our family and on the same intinerary. They will usually let us in if the lounge isn't too full and my kids look like they are going to behave . The day pass probably won't work for the whole family if at all.

The bathrooms aren't that dirty. The cleanest ones, I found are not next to the arrival jetways because it seems everyone rushes off their flights and into the restrooms.
