Just thought I'd let you all know how the red-eye 12:50 a.m. flight on December 15 from LAS to MSP turned out...checking in on-line I was able to stand-by for flights the prior day only (the 14th) and not for flights later on my travel date (the 15th). There were no buy-now options, however, strangely there was a confirmed change to the 2:00 flight from LAS-MSP, however, this flight ended up with a ten hour delay due to 757-200R maintenance issues.
When did you check in?
Although I don't recall when I was checking in, when I was flying the 12:50 LAS-MSP on 12/6 and checking in, I could stand-by for most flights on 12/6, but had confirmed standby for none. No options for standby on any 12/5 flights.
I don't think I checked in until that evening (12/5 around 8 PM) but not entirely sure anymore.
