Noise-canceling headphones were available on BA but the blankets and pillows were dire and exactly what I remember from WT a few years back.
Improvements were announced, but only some of them have been implemented. The pillow is improved (bigger, with a fabric cover), and there is also an improved amenity kit. And there is a "choice" of newspapers, which as far as I can see amounts to loading the
Telegraph in addition to the
Mail.
The rest have been deferred - it now seems indefinitely (as there has been no more noise about them). With the deferral of the F upgrade, it's likely that we will now have to wait even longer for a new WT+.

The difference between WT+ (one of the older products available) and QF PE (one of the newest) illustrates the two different approaches: WT+ was always designed as economy with extras; PE was always intended to be a "business lite" product.
The downside is that the SYD route also illustrates how "business lite" will tend to get priced accordingly, thus potentially pushing it beyond the limits of many (like myself) who have to pay out of their own pockets.

It's possible that some crew were being positioned because of the knock-on effects from the recent BKK disruption. QF have been doing this too.

On a recent LHR-MIA, one of the CC even put together a selection of stuff from the Club Kitchen, arranged it on a tray, and brought it around the WT+ cabin. ^
