I believe that LHR is the only European location where an AmEx Platinum will grant access. All of the other locations are partner lounges so there would be no AmEx access for a CO ticket. DL and NW do have some lounges thoughout Europe so you would have access to those while flying on their metal.

I believe that some Amex platinum cardholders have some lounge access in Europe. According to UK Platinum page, UK Platinum members get access to both BMI and EuroStar lounges. The question is whether a BMI lounge would admit a US Plat...that I cannot answer.
