Yup. I've seen it, too.
I agree that involving a sup or LEO is the way to go.
It takes less than a minute for us to test an item and there is no excuse for us not doing so IMO.
Disagree! No need to call anyone from TSA. If a TSO prevents me from taking a "Medically Necessary" item that is clearly stated to be permitted in TSA guidelines then the next action will be a civil/criminal complaint made to an LEO.
I don't need your supervisor to lodge such a complaint.
TSO's are not doctors and trying to play one at a checkpoint is going to get someone burned badly.
