I just completed a pick up and drop off at MIA. To be fair some of these comments are not unique to Budget, but MIA in general.
- From what I was able to deduce, all car rental companies are off airport at MIA. This means that you have to stand outside arrivals, keep an eye on 4 lanes of traffic (divided by a median) to spot your bus. Once you see it, be prepared to wave frantically before trying to drag your bags to the bus. Credit to the driver as he was straight up helping passengers with bags - have a few dollars close to hand to tip him
- Bus then takes you to what can only be described as an industrial estate which a local described to me as "not a nice part of Miami." What a lovely introduction to Miami for the tourist

- I have never experienced such loooonnnnnggggg waits to pick up a rental car. It took forever.
- We then received an Explorer with white paint spatter the whole way down the drivers side. I was not too pleased, I would have thought that they would have taken the vehicle out of service, thankfully the duty manager quickly changed us to a Trail Blazer
- On the return --> god what a convoluted route you have to take !! Follow signs for airport from the freeway, you then end up all over the place.
I guess that the comments are more directed at MIA in general, they need to get their act together and make this a more traveller friendly experience. But then again, MIA is just a dump in general ......
Other airports make the "off airport" experience much more friendly (think SFO), the folks at MIA need to take a leaf out of their book.
