Regus has worked out well for me.

I'm in NYC (or YYZ, or LAX or wherever) for a day trip - arrived early am, leave late PM. I'm in the city - need a place to talk in private for a bit - grab a room at Regus for an hour or two - cheaper than a hotel room.

Also have used the lounge as a place to check up on mail, etc..

Works for me - YMMV
