I was just reading on the WestJet website that WS is leaving the AIR MILES Reward Program effective December 31, 2008.
WestJet will be leaving the AIR MILES® Reward Program as a Sponsor at the end of this year. This means that we will no longer be awarding AIR MILES® reward miles for flights booked at westjet.com after December 31, 2008. Until then, you will continue to earn one AIR MILES® reward mile for every $20 you spend on flights booked online at westjet.com.
What does this mean for AC? More business for AP/AC? I've read that everyone (or close to everyone) is disappointed with the new top tier benefits. At least we have a program is one way to look at it. Prestige never looked so good! ha ha ha!
I haven't traveled much on WS this year except on the rare occasion of last minute cheaper travel.
So now that WS is no longer offering Air Miles, does this mean it is moving towards a oneworld partnership?
What's the word???????
