You can indeed spend your bmi miles on hotel accommodation, to quote the website :

Simply sign into your Diamond Club account, go to the 'spend miles online' area, then select 'hotels'. Search the hotels available and once you have chosen a hotel proceed through to the payment stage. You will then have the option to partly/fully pay for your hotel accommodation with miles, paying any outstanding amount with your credit or debit card. Your booking will be confirmed immediately and miles automatically deducted from your account.

so your 24,500 miles will buy you, er, £40 worth of hotel.
Spending your bmi miles on hotels and car rental is generally very poor value : much better to redeem them for flights.
