what about putting the same items in your coat or jacket pocket and then sending the coat/jacket thru the x-ray? my sop is that my wallet stays i an inside pocket with a snap on it (especially if i'm going to las) and the cell phone and watch go in the same pocket. i then fold the jacket and place it in the l'il grey bin and send it thru the x-ray machine.
I do this as well...and it is a great way to remember to take the items when you leave the checkpoint! If I don't have a jacket, everything goes in my briefcase.
To the TSA folks - I see a lot of these "checkpoint friendly" laptop bags being advertised. Will these make our lives easier or will you still want the laptop out of the bag???
