At the DL deal at the Olympics in 1996, I met Ron Allen, Bob Coggin, and Vicki. I subsequently wrote to them and got nice personal letters from Ron and Bob, and a form letter from Vicki. Ron took a lot of heat for some of DL's problems, but I always thought he did the best possible under difficult circumstances.
Anyway, I didn't even think of the CTO's in response to the OP (I was thinking in-flight), and that embarasses me because for years the best CTO agent in the system took care of me, and remains a good friend to this day. I also met CTO agents and marketing people in other cities, and was able to arrange for associates in other locations to become Flying Colonels. All gone now, thanks to deregulation, 9-11, and fuel prices.
