I fly out of LGA and JFK a great deal to and as both GM and PM, my upgrade stats were near perfect. This year as a first-year PM, I have not missed an upgrade yet. And in all fairness, I have had to hub through ATL, CVG and SLC as well.

I think day/time of travel has as much to do with upgrade stats as anything else. Obviously, having to connect through any major hub will decrease anyone's chances.
